£140,000

Chassis Number 14558

Car Number 19110

Engine Number 15043

Body Number 31033

Registration Number FUB 812

This original bodied and matching numbers Speed 25 left the Alvis factory in January 1938 and was delivered to Bamber and Company in Leeds.

This is a most original car, with both matching numbers and its original body, a body that was ordered with four special features which are still evident today.

These comprise a higher swept scuttle line, a flush fitting hood with elbow rail, lowered rear wings and a pair of aero screens mounted on the main windscreen frame. All these four features are detailed on the original factory Build Sheet, a copy of which is in the substantial history file which accompanies the car.

FUB 812 has been enthusiast owned for very many years, one particular gentleman having owned it on no less than three occasions. It is clear that all the owners have maintained the car to a high standard as it is particularly good to drive on the road, with a strong and responsive engine, excellent brakes (recently overhauled) and very good steering. The oil pressure is excellent when the engine is hot, the car does not overheat and the body is particularly strong.

The paintwork is in excellent condition and the upholstery inside the car is the original blue leather, with original door cards too.

The car is both lovely to look at and a pleasure to drive.
